E-Learning System for Dialysis Patients Developed – Providing Reliable Support for Introducing Self-Dialysis for Health and Freedom
e-Learning System for Dialysis Patients Developed
~Providing reliable support for self-dialysis patients to achieve health and freedom
(Kita-ku, Tokyo, CEO Wataru Sakurado) has developed an e-learning system for dialysis education for dialysis patients.
The system is a patient learning support system developed in collaboration with the core system of Digital Cruise Corporation (Chuo-ku, Tokyo, CEO Kenichi Oshida).
This product will enable both patients and facilities to smoothly adopt the new self-dialysis option for improving quality of life.
The level of proficiency in self-dialysis training, which usually takes several weeks to several months, varies from person to person. That is why we have created a system that allows patients to self-learn according to their level of proficiency.
The background of the development and available services are explained below.
Background of development: The traditional standard dialysis treatment in Japan is a one-way system in which medical care is provided by the hospital, causing stress due to frequent intervention by the medical staff and dependency on medical care due to patients’ lack of knowledge about dialysis. This has led to the development of a support system that supports patient autonomy and allows patients to perform dialysis treatment independently, without relying on medical staff.
The key point of this system is that it provides comprehensive training to patients.
This allows patients to dialyze on their own time with minimal assistance from medical staff.
This system supports the acquisition of dialysis techniques for self-dialysis, which promotes patient independence while improving convenience.
Teaching materials: Video materials / Examination questions
Trainer can check proficiency level (see right) Items: Pages viewed, number of times viewed, time spent on the site, and test result pass rate].
Future plans: Demonstration testing is underway with a view to going live in April 2025.
About the collaboration with Digital Cruise Inc.: Digital Cruise Inc. deeply supports self-dialysis as “alba lab’s business development that contributes greatly to society,” and has participated in the development of an e-learning system for dialysis patients by utilizing our admintTV Learning, a digital DX service using video. The two companies will collaborate to develop an e-learning system for dialysis patients. The two companies will collaborate to provide high value-added products to customers through product demonstrations, user seminars, and customer discussions.

What is Self-Dialysis System?
Self-dialysis” is a system of dialysis treatment that enables patients to manage their own dialysis schedule and ensure sufficient dialysis volume.
The benefits of self-dialysis, such as improved physical condition and reduced risk of complications, are much higher than those of conventional treatment.
The patients feel a great sense of physical condition as well as numerical benefits, and it contributes to the improvement of QOL (quality of life) that goes beyond treatment.
